About Science of Sport
Faster, higher, stronger! This workshop is a scientific tribute to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and students will earn gold medals in biomechanics, physiology, engineering and anatomy. How do pitchers muster up the muscle for a fastball? How does a speedskater maintain a 90° leg angle and what causes the “burn” in their quads? How do goalies develop reflexes for those game-winning saves? The world of athletics is based on science and this workshop is here to prove it.
