Creative Encounters Science and Engineering Camp

Learn about science in a fun and interactive way! Girls and boys entering grades 2-3 and 4-6 will build amazing projects designed and taught by Creative Encounters Instructors that incorporate science and engineering concepts. Older campers enter grades 7-9 will participate in design challenges and build advanced projects that incorporate science and engineering concepts. This camp is a great introduction to the basics of science, engineering, and technology.

Kincardine Satellite Camp

Our general CES camps travel to Kincardine and bring our super science to you! Projects are specialized according to age groups and led by our enthusiastic instructors. Build fantastic projects and participate in design challenge - we want you to love science, engineering, and technology as much as we do!

P.A.G.E.S.

Promoting Awareness: Girls in Engineering & Science
We want to change the statistics - let's get more girls interested in science and technology while making awesome friends at our only residential camp! Girls attend this camp Monday through Friday and get to stay overnight in a University of Guelph residence on Wednesday and Thursday night while supervised by two female instructors. Participate in cool demonstrations, build amazing projects, and get to see what it's like to live on campus at our University!

Future Physicians

Paging all "Future Physicians" to our medical-themed camp! Learn about medicine, disease, and the human body in this camp - it's fun, interactive, and way cheaper than medical school! How does our body protect itself from germs and how do those germs make us sick? Why do we need vaccinations and how do we heal from cuts and bruises? Inspired by a much-loved University of Guelph pathology course, we can't wait to teach you all about it!

Survivor

Volcanoes, tornadoes, and earthquakes - OH MY! Can you survive the catastrophic conditions of natural disasters? Find out in our Survivor-themed camp if you have what it takes to learn about our changing environment, the effects of pollution, and natural disasters in our world. Use your knowledge and help your tribe/fellow campers earn points throughout the week through competitions and challenges, all of which are so much fun that campers won't even realize that they're LEARNING.

TechQuest X-treme Game Design

Campers spend the week learning the ins and outs of computer game design and actually CREATE a computer game! So popular that we run it EVERY WEEK in the summer, Game Design challenges campers with trial-and-error learning and problem-solving to make a seriously awesome game. And, don't forget, at the end of each week, one camper from Game Design will win our coveted Golden Keyboard to honour his/her hard work and dedication in the computer lab!
[Grades 6-9]

TechQuest X-treme Robotics

Dream it, design it, then build it in our X-treme Robotics camp! This camp is all about using vision and imagination to engineer a truly remarkable robot. Using our new Lego Mindstorms NXT kits, campers are given instructions on how to build and program model robots, while encouraged to make their own additions using what they've learned at camp! Program your robot to complete tasks, such as kick the ball into the goal or wrestle another robot out of the ring - anything is possible!

TechQuest

Revamped and ready for action! Our TechQuest programming has been completely redone to suit you better! With more hands-on projects and an exciting range of technology topics, be the first to try it this summer!!! From Robots to Transportation, Outer Space to Computers, you're sure to come leave camp with a new appreciation for the technological world we live in!
